Malvern Star- What kind of Steel?
Any idea what kinds of steel vintage Malvern Stars used for the tubing?

Reynolds, as Oz was part of the British Empire. Depending on the age, possibly HM, the precursor to 531.

...or possibly Accles and Pollack, here's a link to a Malvern site that states the the 5-Stars were always made with the "highest grade CroMoly or MangyMoly tubing, either straight gauge or DB", so it's still a bit of a guess, but I'd bet on it being Reynolds 9 times out of 10:
