Can someone help me ID this Nishiki?

I don't have it in person yet, so all I've got is this pic. Thanks in advance.

Judging by the geometry, (what looks to be) Sugino VP cranks, and non-aero black diacompe levers, it looks like a repainted Nishiki Olympic from the mid to late 80's. Just a guess though...

Did you get a serial number? This looks very similar to my '86/'87 Nishiki Prestige, though I think the tubing might be different: mine's Tange Infinity, and the decal on this one looks a bit different. Those brakes look quite nice. I'm sure T-Mar will be along soon...

I don't have the bike yet (ebay) so I can't find the serial. I was hoping to find out before it arrived--buyer anticipation, I guess. Thanks for the help.

can't tell you the model but it looks nice. SHimano 600 brakes, tange 1 is good and quite probably a full 600 group by the looks of it. It's high end for a nishiki and a good bike. If it is in as good of shape as the pictures make it look I would value it at $300 as top market value but would say you're going good to get it for $200.

Checking out those newer pics... I'll take back my "Olympic" guess.
Definetely a nicer Nishiki... maybe the nicest I've seen.

Wish I could offer a prize--gratitude won't cut it, I suppose. Thanks for all the help. I'll post more pics when I can.

A coworker has a Tri-A sitting in his garage. Hasn't been on the road this millenium. I offered him $50 for it but he wouldn't bite. Maybe I should offer him $100.
