My turn!

GF's Bridgestone 200 chromoly (main tubes I guess) mixte. Set up with Nitto upright handlebars with Suntour XC stem, and thumb shifters. Stock Suntour 7 front and rear mechs currently running 2x5 with aluminum rims. She insists on the kick stand. Not the lightest, but no mixte boat anchor either. Will upgrade to parts bin Suntour V series front and rear and a 6 speed freewheel when current components bite the dust. She likes the upright position and thumbies.

Second is GF's daughter's Centurion Cavaletto with kick ass Miami Vice style fade and decals. Basically stock. Suntour light action SIS stuff. Frame is chromoly main tubes and hi ten fork per the decals. Needs new grips, but still functional for her at this time.

Also had a Pug mixte for my GF's other daughter but some bum stole it. Unsure of model, but blue, decent vintage with drop bars.

Looking for 2 more frames for my sister and 2nd daughter replacement to build. The women in my life love them!

Here's one I picked up last week off the local CL for $50 total with some extras.

1980 Univega Viva Touring mixte. Right side of handlebars are bent and right pedal busted, so possibly involved in a crash at some point. Mix of parts and cables, nothing special. Will take apart, clean and lube, and replace/upgrade the broken bits.

So, let's go get one! :)

saw a tall one at a swap meet a year or so back, though not sure if it was a full 23". but it was a "super galaxy" mixte and quite tasty, even in a tatty & drab dark brown.

I hope someone here grabs it.

1983 Nishiki Rally I saved from the trash (and previously sitting outside for a LONG time based on the rust on it).. converted drop bars to comfort and put a Shimano 6-spd index shifter on to replace the originals.
All cleaned, re-cabled, changed seat, new tires, new chain, swapped wheels for alloy QR wheels I had available..

"You want the mixte? You want the mixte?!? You can't handle the mixte!!" Not mine, but it could be yours! Buy 'em both and use parts from the men's bike to complete the other.

Looks like adequate clearance under the back side of the crown but I'd be interested in how tight it is under the brake caliper.

Thanks! Itís a fun little carefree ride.

Yep. Had a secondhand double crank, but itís flat around here, so no need to shift the front ring during casual riding. Offroad I manually move the chain to the smaller ring; onroad it stays on the bigger ring.

Just a few! Maybe four. ;)

1973-74 CCM Elite Mixte

Nothing fancy about this utilitarian built in Canada 5 speed but it was rescued from the scrappers last night and deserves a second life. SunTour Honor does the shifting duties. A neat twist to the story is the lady who messaged me about the bikes may be first in line for the mixte as she has been looking for a town bike to pull her kiddies around. The second bike is a 23" frame 1973 Favorit Rapido. The bike was not heavily used but has been stored in the rafters of a garage used for woodwork. The combination of fine sawdust and condensation has made a mess. Maybe it will buff out as we say?

Would this tandem qualify as a mixte? :D

We sold a couple of the wife's bikes since her cycling days are probably over. The Chiorda-turned-MTB went to a fellow who wants the drum brake wheels for a cruiser project. That's okay. I gave him the original road fork so this bike may turn up again with 27" or 700C wheels in road trim. Turns out I'd already met the guy when I facilitated a Bridgestone sale for a fellow in Oregon. He didn't remember me initially but warmed up when he saw the Paramount and Cimarron hanging in the garage so I have a ready buyer for them when the time comes.

Jaques Anquetil with steep head tube angle. Rough construction, possibly built by Cizeron or Jeunet from what I've read on these here forums. Shifters and wheels are temporary.

Not a mixti. It's a twin tube design. I have a nice Trek Earl like that. Colnago made a racing bike of titanium. SE Quad racing bmx bike. Twin tubes have more flex and give you a more comfortable ride.

Oh yeah. That tandem must be like riding a flexible flyer.

Not mine. Someone needs to swoop this little treasure up. It's got yer wingnuts, it's got yer Berceau frame, it's got yer Svelto rear derailleur, it's got yer plastique levers.

A very old Mercier. Anybody know what I should use for cable stops on the downtube bosses for these Simplex shifters? I've only seen clamp on simplex before! I think I want to put some thumbies on it since the cracktastic derailleurs are dead dead dead.
