I've got a '77 Grand Touring in the diamond frame, Gun Metal Grey. My 30th anniversary with this bike is coming up, and I just picked up a companion mixte, also Gun Metal Grey, but it turns out to be a '76. Pics of both will appear one of these days.
Yours looks very well-cared for-- are you the original owner?

Is it called Champagne? No, I'm not the original owner...and I have to say, the bike is a bit "rougher" than it appears in the photo.( A nice Brooks saddle improves any bike, don't you agree?) I bought it from someone with absolutely no appreciation for it. It had a thick, hard layer of grease over most of the components, a broken generator light hanging off it, a mountain bike seat, BMX grips and two bald tires! Luckily, I enjoy cleaning things up and thought it was a "diamond in the rough"...
Yes! Let's see your Motos! I have a 1985 Mirage, also.

I believe my 85 Mirage was the tail end of the "Made in France" Motobecanes. It's a charcoal-grey metallic...cromoly frame with Huret rd....very nice quality.

Nice $50 Mixte on Mpls Craig's list.
Very nice $50 Bridgestone Mixte on Mpls. Craig's list.

Hard to tell in the photo but I think that it's the same color red I had on my Bridgestone 500. It looked so great I was often asked if it were custom paint. So I assume it's the same year, 1985 IIRC. By then, Bridgesones imported into the US were all well designed and very nice. Well worth upgrading to nicer components.
If Jane wasn't convinced that she already has too many bikes, I'd snap it up.

Will wonders never cease? A Huffy mixte...and it's quite nice looking to boot.
Has the Huffy been upgraded, or is it just a cleaned up original?
The Raleigh looks pretty clean already

I think it has potential. I've always wanted a Raleigh. This one is sooo rough I would have passed if it hadn't been a Mixte!! I know YOU understand...
No brakes, very faded paint, rust galore...
Is that "Raleigh green" by the way??

Jeunet Franche-Comte lugged steel copper colored 10 speed found last Saturday, $4. Have since cleaned and greased the quill and seat post. Found out the bike will fit me fine. The large 27x1-1/4 tires and sprung saddle give it a very comfortable ride. Needs fresh lube and some more work before I can put many miles on it. May add fenders and a water bottle cage.
Could it be a 1978 model? I found "78" stamped into the head tube, just under the headset. Don't see obvious date codes on the parts (MM Atom skewers, Samir Saminox steel rims, Mafac "Racer" center pulls, Guid quill, Simplex plastic derailleurs, Solida steel cranks, Lyotard pedals, Huret spoke protector, Crown saddle, Pletsoher rack, Greenfield kickstand, and a Sedis chain).
