Pictures of my 50th Anniversary Waterford-built Paramount built up

This is the 50th Anniversary Schwinn Waterford-built Paramount frame I recently built up and am riding. Bought the frame and fork for $300 shipped and built it up with some Shimano Ultegra 9 speed parts I had from another bike.

The bike looks prettier in person as it is hard to get the color to show well in the bright Oklahoma sunlight on a 95 degree day

When I see a bike like that, it makes it even harder to believe that people prefer those new strange looking frames...

Great bike!

Thanks for sharing the pictures... are you interested in sharing the bike?

I almost had a waterford paramount in my size... it was on CL for a cool 190 with cranks and headset... I corrosponded with the owner who said it was as good as mine he just had to pick it up from his shop... I got an email the next day saying that when he went to pick it up his mechanic had decided he wanted it... ARRRGH! so close

Very nice! I've got one about the same vintage (87) and I'd like to know how did the conversion to 9 speed go? Did you need a new crank/bottom bracket?
