Posted on mtbr.com Jamis forum:

"2005 Jamis Dakar Sport For Sale
I have a 2005 Jamis Dakar Sport, that I might trade, unless i can get a better deal here.I am open to offers, NO LOWBALLING. It is a red 17" frame, With no sratches worse than small chain slap issues, and on SMALL scratch on the downtube. If anyone is interested and would like to see pictures, PM me as soon as possible, this deal will not last for long."

With no price, how can I know if I am LOWBALLING the guy? With no price, how do we know that it's such a great deal? SMALL questions, but valid me thinks.

I have my doubts - a high end Bianchi ought to have some visible Columbus SL or SLX decals. Also, the font of the Bianchi decals reminds me of the mid '80's lower budget versions.

Hey Guys, I have been rebuilding old frames into fixies for a while, and I came across an awesome aluminum frame I would LOVE to use, but its got vertical dropouts.... i REALLY want to use it, and I don't want to use any of those offset hubs etc.

so: is it possible to remove/cut the vertical dropouts, fabricate horizontal dropouts for it, and weld it in?

I am thinking the answer is yes, because the dropouts were originally welded on the in the firstplace. I will just need to pay close attn to geometry and make sure it lines up right. Any other issues or things I should pay attn to?

I have moderate experience with machining and tig welding (in cars not bicycles) but I figure its pretty much the same. Am I crazy? Is it doable with enough care?

I know I should just start off with a frame with correct dropouts, but hey sometimes people do crazy uneconomical irrational things for love.
I don't know the first thing about this but welding Aluminum seems to me to be a pretty big stretch.

Sorry, welding aluminum, especially TIG welding is tougher than welding steel, but with enough experience, is a relatively straightforward process. This one doesn't seem like much of a Numbskull.

With the price of gas and the fixie trend I think it's fair to ask a little more for some of your bikes, but when I see a $1500 Miyata and a $350 Murry POS for sale I just have to roll my eyes.

He's a numbskull for posting a question as a craigslist ad if nothing else. The internet abounds with cycling forums, craigslist even has its very own cycling forum.

That is very strange !

The seller is asking $15 000 for a Confente ( the price might be ok , I'm not too sure about that) but does not mention confente once in his title or in his description. His title only says ''Campagnolo nuovo record group bike''

Cannondale fork looks bent. Hold a straightedge up to your screen, centerline of fork is behind centerline of head tube.

I don't know if this is numbskullery as much as an indicator of a really aggressive jerk. If you know how much they're worth, why don't you tell us how much you'd be comfy selling 'em for. If you don't want to sell them...well....

I think it is someone looking to get an Ebay type auction for free.

If you look at the forums on flagging, this sort of ad is often flagged for being against the rules.

In their forums I even saw someone claim that including terms like "or best offer" makes it worth flagging.
