Got all this from my next door neighbor for helping her move a table into her garage. When I finished, I saw a bunch of bike "stuff" in a large crate and before I could ask her anything, she said I could take anything Bike related since she no longer rides and since she always sees me heading out to ride or working on a bike in my backyard. It was her husband's. He made most of his own tool. I'm now trying to figure out how to use the truing stand and trying to figure out what's the tool with a metal base and a piece of chain welded to a small post. What is it??

Yup. That's what I get for always helping out my neighbors. She also offered me an "old" bike but I refused to take it for free; A Guerciotti with full Super Record. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I had taken it. SOOOOOOOOOOO I told her I would buy it off her. She called her son and he said that if I were to mow her lawn for the next month while she's on vacation I could have it....No deal....I always cut her grass when I cut mine either way. So he then said 25 and wouldn't take more. Hey; I tried. And the best part is that her husband was a tall Belgian which rode the same size as me! It's been a good week so far. I'l post pics of it later once I clean it up. I guess I am a lucky S.O.B! Here's are closer pics.

Very cool score for a good neighbor! The tool with the plate base & chain looks like a homemade freewheel vise. Drop the freewheel on the large rod, wrap the chain around the big cog, then use one of the chain whips to unscrew the cogs.

That open-end wrench to the left - do you have a closeup of it? I think I have that same identical wrench - same manufacturer too.

I spy NR cage plates in one of those boxes...

-Kurt

P.S.: That isn't a Century finish Campagnolo Victory S3 derailer, is it?

The person i bought it from is from the I.U.ed.dept.He said it was used in the race.He bought it to ride but did not like the way it handled so now he is into mountain bikes.he said down in Bloomington you can purchaase the bikes after the races and many people buy them and strip them down for "beaters"in the winter.it is a little difficult finding one that isnt stripped down and repainted.

That's it! I tried it today and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

I'll take some pics of the wrenches and post them later. I don't know if it's a Victory. I'll post a pic so you can see it better. I still haven't looked through everything yet, but I do think it was a NR cage. It also had some Campy chainrings and varies other goodies.

The complete Campagnolo derailer is definitely a Victory S3 from '88-89, but the finish intrigues me. Let me know if you might part with it, can think of one machine in my stable that it would look smashin on.

Incidentally, my wrench is a Rahsol No. 2202 - yours wouldn't happen to be the same, would it?

One of the wrenches is a Komet and another is a Drayton. The others don't have a brand. At the moment I really don't have a need for the derailleur, which means it's open to trades.
