Here's a picture of my oldest steed. I believe it was made in 1961, and when I got it it came with all the original equipment (I even have the original reciept). I've replaced the tires and the brake cables and have ridden it a few times now.

Forgive my last post. I'm still trying to figure out how to post a picture. I'll figure it out one of these days.

Bogester, try this. Hit Post Reply, type in whatever text you would like to appear, then click on browse box. This will take you to your hard drive and scan the pictures in your picture file. Then right click on the picture, click on select in the box that appears, and the address of the picture will be copied into the extension box. That's all!

Thanks. I've got some pictures of my bikes being developed so I'll scan them and attempt to post when I get them back...(yes I'm one of the ten people in the US who don't have a digital camera yet). BTW some great looking bikes on this topic!

OK, let’s try this again. Here’s a picture (I hope) of my Raleigh Gran Sport. I purchased it a few months ago from a guy who originally bought it in May of 1962 (the bike originally cost $114). It has all the original equipment, with the exception of one tire, including generator and headlight, fenders, rear rack, water bottle holder and bottle, and a big saddle bag. The cyclometer that came on the bike only showed 400 some miles so it’s in really good shape for a bike that over 41 years old. I had the hubs, bottom bracket, and headset re-greased, put on some new tires, wiped the dust off, and it’s now road ready. I’ve ridden it a few times and it has a very smooth ride. Equipment includes Campy Gran Sport derailleurs, GB Coureur centerpull brakes, very narrow Maes handlebars, and a Brooks B15 Swallow saddle. Other than a scratch on the head tube, a few other minor scratches, and some rotted hood covers it is really in good condition. I wish I had a better camera but hopefully you get an idea what it looks like from these scans. Thanks.

Another shot... I hope. I still am not having much luck getting these pictures to show up.

I finally finished it! About a month or so ago, I posted a real bad pic of my work-in-progress: a 1985 or 1986 Schwinn LeTour that I was upgrading as a hobby and as an inexpensive way to try out road biking. Well, it's done. I bought the complete bike at a thrift shop for like $25. Everything was working ok on it except for the rear wheel, which was slightly taco'd and very corroded. $225 later, I have what you see below.

NICE bike Beats Walking! Absolutely love the color. Good riding and good luck with that beautiful bike!

Here's a pic of my late 70's Austro-Daimler Vent Noir. Someone here said Vent Noir means the "black wind", very appropriate for this bike as it rides like the wind!

Okay, I think this is my 76 U010... if posting this works, I'll take pix of the 73 PX10 converted too a fixie and the 79 PK10... just bought a cheapie dig cam and am figuring out just what the heck I am doing... I can fix a bike, but this techno-@#$% is beyond me most of the time...

Yay!

I like that bike. Good photo too. Good composition. Brick walls are always a good background for light colored bikes.

I would have perhaps chosen a spot where somebody had not recently urinated.

Thanks for posting your Peugeot pix, Poguemahone. My 1980 PKN-10 has the same paint and major decals as your UO-10, but is not nearly as pristine-looking as your PKN-10. I have gotten several good years of use out of it so far, and Rainman P. can attest that it is a "sweet ride."
