Brake Lever ID

I was given a set of Dia Compe brake levers. They have "1086" stamped inside them. The vintage Trek site indicates these would be from 10/86. The body of them is made from a hard black plastic. The levers themselves and the internal pieces are aluminum. The white hoods are labeled 'Dia Compe' and what looks similar to a small 'x' after Dia Compe. Any idea what model these are and what level of bikes they came on?

thanks

I have a set of those on my old Schwinn Prelude. You can use the 3/4 or standard full hoods. They work very well and come in standard and short reach. I have seen hoods on ebay go for $10 - $20 a set. Good luck.
