New Dimension Hubs
My cursed cruiser has a really cool new dimension front hub with chrome wing-nut style axle nuts, etc. Unfortunately, the races have some piting. and the chrome is not so good. While I could get it re-chromed, can I get the races resurfaced? Using a threadpitch gauge, it appears to have a "26G" whitworth threaded axle, so I am unlikely to be able to reuse the wing-nuts.
If I can't get it fixed, does anyone have a good source for vintage ballooner hubs? The fork spacing appears to be ~85mm.
Thanks a lot...

Do you mean New Departure on your front hub? If the axle has different than standard threads but the same size bearings, you can swap the axle/cones to a new hub. What kind of vintage ballooner hubs you looking for? Ebay has a lot of NOS hubs floating around, but be ready to pay. I missed out on a new Departure front hub for my Columbia, it went to $48!,,,,BD
