Ofmega hub question
 

I may not have phrased my search parameters correctly when looking for an answer, which is why I am asking this question. I have a set of Ofmega hubs that take a freewheel and a Campy C Record set that takes a freewheel. The freewheel(s) I have thread right on the Campy C Record hub but on the Ofmega it will thread on a bit then quit. The threads didn't look bad when I checked them out. Are they supposed to be the same thread? Thanks.

English and Italian freewheel threads are almost but not quite the same, possibly your problem. google for details.

That is likely the issue. English and Italian use the same number of threads per inch and the same diameter, but the thread sharpness or cut angle differs. This is why one should not swap back and forth between the two.

Look at the freewheels and the hubs for inscriptions such as "BSC," meaning ISO or English threading.

The 1980 or 1981 Ofmega rear hub and Regina America freewheel that came with my Bianchi definitely seem to be Italian-threaded, so I leave them paired together (currently on the 1959 Capo) and swap my various Japanese freewheels around on other hubs I own.
