7sp Chorus RD?

was in the attic going through some stuff, and i accidentally found my old 7spd chorus RD (as well as the rear shifter) from my '90 Pinarello Treviso. Now I remember why i switched to an Ultegra RD back in the summer of '93: the chorus RD was busted, and busted bad!

Even under a layer of filth, i can still see that it was a thing of beauty (even if it weighed a ton ).

Any ideas as to the availability and price on these (NOS or in reasonable condition) off of ebay?

Botto, welcome to Cranky&Vintage (a very civil place atmo).
the levers usually go for about $30 NOS. on ebuy.
The RD comes up occasionally There's a lightly used on on ebay now for
$45.
You can also check places like Universal Cycle center in the UK, and
bicycleclassics here in the states.

jonesbikes had Victory & Triomphe bodies & rebuild kits in their e-bay store recently. They have a lot of old, NOS Campy stuff, might be worth checking to see if they have any old Chorus derailleurs. Don

Botto,

check marktplaats while you're over there.
And from what I can tell there are alot of small shops that have
old stuff laying around, maybe the RIH shop since you're there?

I'm using one of those Chorus' on my '85 Mondonico frankenbike, Shimano 600 6207 friction shifting, and a 14-28 Megarange 7 on DuraAce wheels, and it works like a champ!

If it still moves smoothly, ignore the road rash, put it on a bike, and ride it.

i didn't take it off because of the scratches. i took it off because those scratches were from a few crashes, which affected the performance of the RD - i.e. it pretty much sucked.
