1978 Dawes Super Galaxy pics

Well I haven't cleaned it yet, but because we all like before / after pics here goes!

Overall look -

Missing Reynolds sticker - (spot the hole near pump braze-on?) :-(
Rear dropout - the rack is mounted outside both mudguard stays, is this normal / strong enough?
Bar endplug -

Specs :

Levers - Weinmann suicide
Front brake - Weinmann Vainqueur 610
Rear Brake - Weinmann 750 Vainqueur 999
Shifters - Suntour Power Shifter
FD & RD - Suntour Cyclone
Bars - GB alloy ('Mil Remo' endplugs)
Stem - GB forged
Pedals - Kyokuto Top Run (Made in Japan)
Cranks - TA Specialites
Seatpost - 26.3mm BIRMALUX (see earlier thread)
Saddle - Brooks B17
Hubs - Normandy
Rims - Rigida 27 * 1 1/4 alloy
Mudguards - ESGE Made in W Germany

Thats it, so is it all original? pedals and bars seem suspect to me for an English tourer.

Cheers, Prav

I love that bike, it might partly be the name and the color.
How much did it cost?
And the new one is just as cool.

Yeah the colour rocks! it has a subtle fade - where the decals are on the TT & ST is a bit lighter..

I bought it (including a d-lock and 2 keys!!) from Gumtree (Craigslist for Londoners)
Been searching ages for a big frame!
(it was at least rideable unlike the peugeot I bought a few weeks back for 12 pounds..)
