Ten Speed Drive Imports Serial Numbers?

I have a NOS TSDI frame but don't know its year and there are no records from what I understand. But I'm sure many of you out there have some of there guerciotti, lemond or tommaso frames with the decals still on since they were put on under the clearcoat. If you own one of there frames and are by chance the original owner or pretty much know its exact year I was wondering if you could reply with what you have, its year and what the TSDI number is on the decal located on the downtube by the bottom bracket. From this I might be able to figure out mine. I'll start with a Lemond Ventoux, TSDI #05719, year unknown. Thanks.

I have a TSDI Rossin Ghibli that has serial #1054. I am not the original owner but it is from 1988/89.

I have a TSDI painted Tommaso, serial #01135. I believe it's from 1988/1989 as well. Your frame is later in the series, so I'm guessing much later, maybe mid 90s? I would love to find out more about TDSI and their records if anyone out there has more info.

From the numbers you would think mine would be later but here's the catch. On Lemond bikes of this era there were decals on the seat tube that stated lemond's victories. Mine only has three victories stated '79 Jr Worlds, 83 Worlds and 86 TDF. I have seen other Lemonds (same model) that had decals stating later victories 86 TDF, 89 TDF, 90 TDF. So logic would tell me that since my decals don't have the later victories then it would be an ealier Lemond(prior to 1989), but then the high serial number doesn't make sense. Keep in mind, IMO, I believe these serial number decals were put on when the frme was imported and painted, not sold since they are under the clear coat. I guess now you know why I'm asking this question and i too would also like to know more about there records. Anybody ever know what happened to Tom Eason?

My guerc from the 88/89 era has 00192 on it. Not sure what it means other than perhaps it was #192 that was made.... don't know.

Sorry to bump an old post, but I thought the numbers from my two tommaso's may help. Both are shimano 105 equipped Colombus Cromor bikes and have components dating them as 88 or 89. If you have any idea who would have made these bikes, it would be appreciated.

I sold a LeMond Team Comp, all Campy with Cinelli bars and stem to my cycling buddy/neighbor. I bought it from a gentleman in Melbourne Florida. He indicated to me that he bought it from a friend of his that worked for TSDI. It has LeMond Team Comp on the top tube, and LeMond by the headtube. On the seat tube it indicates "Tour De France 1986" and and believe JR championship. I can't recall, but will ask h to let me take pics and I'll post them tomorrow. Thanks!

I have a TSD 1983 Guerciotti Columbus SLX frame - has all original TSD graphics (clearcoated), and absolutely nothing resembling a serial number. I only know the year from catalog browsing.

I have a Z Team bike with the inverted colors (blue on top). Judging by the decals and parts I think it's a 1990 and it's #4795.

Adding mine in case someone finds this searching like I just did.

Greg LeMond Ventoux that I was told was a 1989. But it's got the 1989 TDF sticker on it so I would think it's a bit later. Whatever year it is it's in good shape.

Here's the TSDI Label:

And the 1989 TDF sticker:

And the bike itself as a work in progress:

I believe my dark blue Tommaso is a 1988 Cromor.
TSDI number is 00020.
BB serial number is B10234.
I bought it as bare frame several years ago, but it has a downtube sticker from The Alt bike shop in Minneapolis.
