Another Benotto ID Help Request -
Hey can anyone help me with the ID on this one? I purchased this roughly 8 months ago and I'm curious of its origin.
Like the guy w/ the chrome Benotto, the headbadge states Fabricca Torino and the bottom bracket does not have the heart-shaped stamp. I've linked to several pics for reference. The dropouts and fork crown are stampled with the name BENOTTO. The bottom bracket appears to have a stamp - B30? ..or something similar. I love the idea of have a sweet vintage ride, but I think this might be entry level. As you can see pretty much all of the original components have been replaced. Thoughts?? http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w..._seat_tube.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...ar_dropout.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...benotto_bb.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/000_0130.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/000_0129.jpg |

Check out this Bulgier scan. Not quite your vintage, but it should give you some ideas. Seems more midlevel thn entry to me. The brakebridge is too nice for a cheap bike. I like it!

Hrm, there was a guy in my neighbourhood selling one of these and he identified it as a 1600, maybe that will help? The champagne colour that Benotto did is really fantastic, I posted this pic of a Benotto similar to yours in a thread about new components on an old bike:
