Washers to simulate toe-in on older brakes

Hey all. So I busted an arm on a pair of universal super 68's trying to toe them in. Only to find out that you're not supposed to toe those in because they are notorious for breaking...

Anyhow, someone mentioned that there are washers you can get that are thicker on one side than the other to help toe in without bending the arm. Does such a thing exist? I know I could make one, but if something like that exists, would be much easier on me.

BTW, this was also posted in the mechanics forum (sorry for the cross-post).

thanks.

Sean.

Take a look at the spherical washers at Mcmaster-Carr, specifically the SS sets numbered 91944A028. www.mcmaster.com (the website is very hard to navigate, but they have TONS of fasteners) Sorry about your breakage, we all hate when that happens.

some of the models of kool-stop pads come with washers like these, but i think they require a long-ish mounting stud.. see http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/brakeshoes.html

you could try stopping by a local shop and see if they have any spares lying around
