Looks nice, but I don't know about the utility of down tube shifters with north road type bars. Those silly French just don't stick to the standards everyone else uses.

It's definitely circa 1970 and basically an AO-8 with close-ratio gears, upright handlebars, llights, and mudguards, making me strongly suspect it's a European model (AE-8 Caravan????). Also note the PX-10 style top tube hung pump and black headlugs and the sidepull brakes; U.S. export AO-8s and UO-8s had downtube-mounted pumps, noncontrasting lugs, and Mafac Racer centerpulls.

Very nice. The condition looks great. It would appear to be a circa 1972 model P8 with the drop bars and brake levers swapped. Those look like the Altenburger Synchron brakes. If the the levers are Altenburger too, the levers and bars may be original, possibily indicating a slightly earlier version. The only thing that appears to be missing is the tool kit.

yah, its a European model, don't know much more than that (not many details).

Are the synchron brakes good brakes?

I've found that large doses of carbon(fibre) only leads to constipation.

John, according to the advert either the freewheel or cogs (not sure it's dutch)
were changed at some point (to shimano), I have no idea what the
