My Raleigh

I acquired this bike at a local thrift shop about a year ago. It has a full matching groupset with "Raleigh" printed on all parts except R.Der(Suntour Cyclone) and Brake Levers(Carlton). It has some uncommon 26" wheel(571 maybe). What kind of value does this bike hold? What was the bike designed for? Tell me what ya think. If anyone wants to see more pics, or wants measurements let me know.

Looks like a 1978 Super Course

The wheels on it probably came from a 5 speed.. heaven knows why, but dont go thinking they're stock!

Then was this on 27" stock?

The stock wheels would've been 700C Weinmann concave alloys. The wheels on it now look like something from a low-end Japanese 10-speed. The spoke protector is a steel Suntour; the original was an alloy Sturmey-Archer.

Mike is right - although it possibly could be a late '77. Change out the wheels for 700c alloy, and you'll have a nice rider. I had one of those new, and have another one now (both in the unmatched glory of that nice gold color :)). It isn't the finest bike ever made or anything, but for nostalgia's sake, is probably the last bike I'd part with.
