Hi. Man, I haven't posted here for a long time. What do you folks think of my ride? She's old. I think thier are parts from at least 3 different bikes there. The handlebar is the newest addition. She's mostly Japan parts, but with a few british parts too!
Well. You guys take it easy!

Looks like your bike is surrounded by some sort of force field. I'll bet that works better than a kryptonite lock!

Ah....Sport! Just says 'sport'. I picked it up several years ago at a thrift shop for 12 bucks. Tore it apart thinking I would get right into rebuilding it. Sat that way for a year or two in the garage.....put it all back together and gave it to friend. He never rode so I took it back. (He also has a "Tease" 3-spd just sitting in his yard just rusting away..) I replaced the drop bars with what you see in the pic and swaped out the 27in wheels with newer 700cc's. Rerouted cables ect ect ect....
She's a nice old classic city bike now. Just perfect for a guy like me. Someone who just rides a bike to ride.
Oh! notice the mtn bike stem and brake levers...I had to use a shimmy to clamp the handlebar tight enough to ride it safely.

Dang, Way to go. Super ride. I'm still looking through the yard sales and local CL for a Nishiki road bike. I've been looking for a year. It seems that Nishiki owners have a sixth sense that these bikes are worth something and want way more than the going rate for the same bike if it said "Raleigh" of "Fuji" on the down tube.
Anyway, regarding the Sport model, in 1988, Nishiki made 9 road bikes. The Sport was the 7th from the top, but was the first full chromoly frame, the first model with 6 speed freewheel and the first model to have a chainwheels that did not have the cuff/pants guard attached.
By 1991, the Sport model was a hybrid with MTB type bars, 700c rims, and mountain bike brakes, you know, like yours.
Thought you might like to know.
