Is this Real??
I'm a Mtb'er/commuter for the most part, but I just had to ask...Is this for real, its my size too!! I can't afford it but I thought someone here might be interested...http://cgi.ebay.com/1910-RACYCLE-BIC...QQcmdZViewItem
Give it a good home please |
Yikes, that's some stout gearing on that old thing: 60t crank and 10t cog (a skip tooth, which comes out to a 20t standard?). I suppose riders were stronger in 1910.

Not being up on the real old bikes, what gives with the springs hanging off the front of the saddle?

It's 81 gear inches - that's nothing unusual on the track.

Looks pretty good, ilikebikes. I'm guessing that the paint isn't original, though?

you would also be correct if you guessed that the bars, stem, rims/wheels and tires are not orig either! LOL!
|
Well, even the one in the auction isn't 100% original...:D .
East Hill |
Yeah, I looked it over and sent the guy an email, the wheels and tires are not orig, the frames got a nice dent in it, and the chains gone, I could really use it for parts though, but not at that price, if it were all orig I would have bought it right off! but no, it wasnt meant to be....today anyways! :D
