531, Campy, Brooks, equipped workstool

I got tired of cutting braze-ons off of Cinelli's to make fixed gears out of so I made this swell workstool out of a early 70's Lygie. I will soon add casters, tool-tray, and bottle opener. It would make a great field-chair too as it's very light.

Nice! I like it. Brings a whole new life to any frame.

Sweet. Can't wait to see it with wheels. You will need to use a bottom bracket somehow. Maybe some old hubs for casters?

Ooh! I like it. My Columbus SL frame has 126mm rear spacing. Can I safely cold set it to 375mm myself, or should I take to my LBS.

Now I really wish I had kept my first Capo after the downtube cracked at the head butting.

After wiping the tears from my eyes from even thinking about cutting braze-ons off of Cinelli's, I will admit that is a cool stool. Very creative.

Pulled a frame off the pile. Left the bottle holder on it so I have a place to put my beer. I took the top tube miged it to the downtube and brake bridge found an old baking tray to set my tools and nuts +bolts on also put magnet under the tray so if it gets banged or I toss a nut in, they wont bounce out. Great idea you have made an old scrapman happy.

I may have to make myself one of those. I have several old frames, but it would be so sweet to make it from 531. If ever I get a cracked 531 frame, that'll be the result.....

Hasn't anyone told you that those loop wires don't do a thing for road shock? Way cool!

Someone suggested that I use the empty bottom bracket on my tallbike as a stash box. I'm just putting that out there.
