Where to go?
 

I have a bike and would like to find out what kind it is.... I was told 1950's time period.... Is there a website I could go to for more info? all badges are long gone!!!

The stays look sort of Coumbia.

I had a sixties Firestone with the EXACT same rear stays and drops. Smash welded joints on the stays speak of 60's Murray or Huffy. Hard to tell about the front end. Is there a S/N on the frame anywhere? I'm not too certain who made bikes for Firestone tire stores. It is a cool looking twin top tube frame though. Very cool, just probably not highly valuable/collectable.,,,,BD

Ooh, another good identifying feature. Are there heavy internal "lugs" at the tubing joints. They will look like thick metal that spreads out to match the inside contours of the joints. These bikes were very strong, but also heavy. The white bike is a 24 inch wheel middleweight, but still felt as heavy as a fully loaded balloon tire model just about.,,,,BD

I am going to guess Rollfast, based on the front sprocket that Bikedued's picture shows. Murray used a different sprocket design. I had, as a young kid, a 24" Wards Hawthorne that was made by Rollfast that used the same sprocket.

The LBS where I got my Raleigh Grand Prix in the late 60's sold Rollfast bikes.

Murray also adopted the Rollfast sprocket design, it was a popular design even back to prewar balloon tires like Elgin, etc. Bikes made by many makers came with it up until at least the eighties. Here's a red band hubbed murray from the early to mid sixties.,,,,BD

Murray drops with points though. It is possible his frame is a Rollfast, just saying many makers used that style of sprocket for many years.

Rollfast and Iverson were made by the same company Synder something, and something. The ones I've seen usually have the snyder name stamped into the BB. It does look like a rollfast to me though.

I have a rollfast frame in my basement and the seat stays arent like that, as in it doesnt have the top tube extending past the seat tube having the stays welded there, they traditional welded to the seat tube.

Probably a montgomery wards or a hawthorne or the like

What pics can I post to help? I am not worried about value, I just enjoy the restore... But I would like to get it close to original at least..... I have a few of the old parts(most were gone) I really appreciate the help everyone!

Well.. I still have no idea what it is.... But have it narrowed down to a few....... But where can I find a fork/springer fork for it?

The seat stays look like Columbia or Westfield.
Have a look at the balloon tire bikes in our Vintage Bicycle Picture Database.

Been doing that.... But I really want to get this bike on the road..NOW...lol... But I do need a fork!!
