Moto Guzzi bicycle?
As you may know, my Moto Guzzi LeMans is a shaft driven motorcycle.
http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/1603...null/image.jpg Does anyone recognize this shaft driven bicycle? http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/uploads/av-3827.jpg |
Wow! I do not know who it is but, I sure would like to see more/larger photos because THAT looks cool:eek:
|
OK, I'll take two guesses at the bike: 1. It's quite old - shaft drive bikes weren't all that uncommon during the turn of the last century. 2. Go look at a current LL Bean catalog. It's called a Runabout Bike, no manufacturer given, sells for $679.00.
Anyone want to put odds on which one that is? |

The stuff woodies are made of! <drool>

I use to have a full dress (looked like the police version) 1973 automatic V7 850 Moto years ago...yeah I know an automatic what a disgrace to a motorcycle. I bought it used in 1976 and sold it about 3 years later. But it was a very nice reliable bike that never gave me any problems but then I never rode it much, I think I put about 9,000 miles on it during those 3 years.

Admendment to Article VI section 3 to the Consitution of the United States shall read: "There shall be a seperation of state and politics."
If you are proposing a constitutional amendment, at least spell "amendment", "Constitution" and "separation" correctly. :) |

PS BMW motorcycles also use shaft drive. BMW bike? And yeah, two wheels is two wheels, no matter what the propulsion, no matter what the speed. Two wheels good, four wheels AWFUL!!!! |

And yeah, two wheels is two wheels, no matter what the propulsion, no matter what the speed. Two wheels good, four wheels AWFUL!!!! But I like all wheels, whether 2 or 4, and 4 is not awful just newer computerized cars-those are awful; that's why I mess with classic cars. In fact today I just finished and got running my 1979 Chevy Z28 I found that only had 47,000 miles on it when I got about 3 months ago, but it sat around for years and needed some TLC. This is will now be my everyday car...when I'm not riding the bike to work and I will sell the 2002 Toyota Avalon so I can eliminate one of my newer cars. I still have my summer weekend car a 1967 Ford Galaxy 500 convertible. Did you catch the hint that I hate newer cars? But that's another subject. |

Sinclair Lewis Sinclair Lewis would spell it "Fascism" |

The REAL thing! OK I'll bite...and probably show how ignorant I am about things newer than 1998...but how come this bike looks NOTHING like virtually every Moto Guzzi I ever saw, including the V50 Monza I used to own and ride, which ALL had a 90-degree V-Twin motor and shaft drive? Sure, if you go back to the Guzzi archives you can find one in the '20s that had a chain...but this (Beautiful, BTW) bike looks more like a Bimota (or something) to ignorant little me. |
