Know anything about a ATALA Special ?
Not a model I recognize as it was purchased in Italy 1990-92 by a local and brought over. Columbus tubing, rear chains stay chromed with lots of engraving on the frame and fork. Modolo Corsa brakes, Ofmega hubs marked touring, gorgeous tubular rims by NISI? Ofmega Linea cranks & pedals, 3TTT stem & bars, and Pewter colored Campy rear derailleur, anyone identify this one? Well if you know anything about this bike or have an opinion I’d be grateful. Looks like a decent ride.

I restored one of these last year. It was very nice - I wish I had kept it. The tubing on mine was not the best Columbus - it was not SL or SLX, which reduced the value. Components were also not top-of-the-line. But it looked beautiful and was a nice riding bike.

Never seen a Campy RD that looked like that...I wonder if it was a short-lived Triomph or Victory...or maybe even a very late Valentino? In any case, I agree that some of the components are slightly lower grade, but the frame LOOKS like top Italian steel (especially from this distance) and has a good light wheelset. I know Atala made the whole range from kiddy bikes to all-Campy Pro racers, this one probably rides just fine.
