Some numbskull looking for the "highest bidder" just posted this on the local C-list:
Looks like a typical piece of American garbage (built like a tank, and still whippy when all is said and done) looking a bit worse for wear, but the rear-facing drops and slack frame angles have me curious.

And as for other spoilers, the thing is 10 miles away, and for two, get a load of the seller's text:
ANTIQUE APOLLO TANDEM BIKE...Barn Fresh Antique 2 person bicycle...I am trying to determine it's value...it is for sale to the highest bidder. any information on this bike would be appreciated.
For that matter, he could just as well refuse to sell it between the time I drive to his place, if someone gives him a higher offer in the intrem. Too many things to go wrong, too idiotic a seller to bother with.

I know nothing about Apollos, but I just picked-up a 1964 Dilecta Touring Tandem (in far better condition, with drop bars, & leather saddles), plus a 1964 Dilecta Road Bike, Reynolds 531, Ideale #5, triple ring. Bikes will need tires, cables, pads, the usual maintenance type items, plus a box of various parts - NOS Huret derailleurs, MAFAC tool kit, cups, stems, axles. The price was less than the asking for the Apollo. Located in CT.

Kurt,
I'd be careful looks as if this might be from the set of Gilligan's Island. Are you certain it's not made of bambo?

Just tell him, "Good for you." Bet he's still looking for a buyer this time next week.
