They're gone!

They also have 105 rear 10-speed rear hubs for a decent price in 32 and 36 hole. Nashbar claims they work with 8-, 9- or 10-speed cassettes. They aren't exactly vintage and not really classic, but 36 hole hubs aren't much easier to find that 36 hole rims any more. :(

You sure have that right. About a year ago I was looking for a cheap 36 hole Shimano cassette hub to use on my indoor trainer bike as I wasted to replace the freewheel hub but keep the rim and spokes.

I had a devil of a time finding one even though I didn't care if it was 7 or 8/9/10-speed and 126, 130 or 135 mm OLD would all be ok since I could mix-and-match parts to make it fit. I must have tried five or six bike shops before I found one.

I just laced a pair of Open Sport rims for my 72 Paramount. I have only been on one ride and so far I like them. Got them at Nashbar on sale and with an added discount on top of that. Also got two of the Nashbar 27" rims and don't like them at all as they are too wide.

Yeah, no one seems to carry the basic, silver, box section clincher rims anymore. I'm always struggling to find them.

Sun CR-18 rims are widely available in 32 and 36 variations. They're double walled, eyeleted and wide. Probably not the lightest rim around, but that's not the goal.

Where to find? Any pics? I just bought a nice used pair of 70s Rigidas on ebay, $50 including shipping!

Thanks for the thread. That directly addresses my problem of providing a decent set of clincher rims for Capo #2.

Harris sells CR-18 36-hole 700c clinchers for $34.95 (scroll down a bit): http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/rims/622.html

Bikeparts.com has them for $28.28: http://www.bikeparts.com/search_resu...p?ID=BPC109704
