25.4 X24F, Italian threaded Gipiemme?

The Ebay auction was just about over when I saw this headset:Gipiemme Cronosprint headset

I really needed a dark anodized headset and I don't come across very many. My question, maybe problem, is I'm not sure if the 25.4 x 24 F threading is English or Italian?

25.4x24tpi is Italian, where British is 1"x24tpi. They are generally interchangeable since 1"=25.4mm, though the cut angle is slightly different, leaving the minor axis of the threading very slightly different as well.

nice looking HS. Seeing that steel bearing surface piece (race) puts me in mind of the Stronglight Delta-type HSs with needle or roller bearings...does this Gipiemme have those? I think it's a big plus if so.

I saw the steel race and wondered that, too. It isn't cupped like for ball bearings.

I don't know anything other than what was in the listing.

After I bid I noticed the only other bidder was Banana Brain, a frequent ebayer of neat NOS items..
