I agree. The Superbe Pro would look nice. Mine's built with 600 Arabesque and it works beautifully as well. Much better IMO than the clunky Nuovo GS that was stock.
I love my Superbe Pro... |
i hate to hijack this thread, but since it is discussing Austrian bikes... i have an unknown, but the LBS thinks it is a puch. it has first generation dura-ace front and rear derailleurs, first generation dura-ace crank (sugino super mighty on the left), suicide shifters, campy hubs and pedals, weinmann carrera brakes. i don't know what kind of tubing since it had a few coats of paint on it when it found it - so no decals, etc. it doesn't have any holes in the head tube for badges and no serial numbers anywhere - i stripped it to bare metal. all i have found is a 73 on the head tube lug - assuming the angle. it weights 21 pounds as is fitted with a brooks saddle.

Thanks for the cable guide if you do have one.
Let me know when you're ready to sell the Miyata - I've been looking for a bike for my 6'7" brother and this might fit the bill nicely. |

My understanding is that the BB axle length is mainly detemined by the crankset used. If you use a Superbe axle with Superbe cranks you should end up with the correct chainline. The only thing I could see going wrong would be if you mixed double/triple components.
I'll take a look. The beauty of this, is that I can go either way; double or triple. I'll probably stick to double/original for now. Let me know when you're ready to sell the Miyata - I've been looking for a bike for my 6'7" brother and this might fit the bill nicely. Thanks. |

I found 2 identical cable guides, they're Shimano and have a cable guide on one side and a cable stop on the other. I might have some more but these small parts tend to find their way deep into boxes of 'stuff' so they aren't easy to find.
PM me about the Miyata when you get a chance. |
