Just built this one up over the weekend. The only real new parts are a chain, cables, and tires. Even the tubes are vintage, lol. 1984(?) Club Fuji. Quickly becoming one of my favorites, and I'm usually not a fan of red bikes. Looks pretty good in the pic, but has flaking paint and rust almost everywhere two tubes meet. I smell a repaint coming on,. I almost bought some solid red paint for it a few months ago, but lately realized it has a very faint pearl or metallic flake in it. It has to be direct sunlight to see it.
Suntour Cyclone MII FD/RD, stock shifters and brakes, 600 aero levers, yellow SINZ housing, Serfas Seca tires, wheels from a friends Nishiki Medalist(Araya 700's and Suntour Sprint hubs) It's quite a joy to ride.
Just found this Screaming Miyata. Loudest bike I've seen this side of a yellow/purple centurion. It's mostly in good shape, just needs the usual grease/cables/tires redo. I will probably be able to leave it anywhere for hours without being stolen. It's a spine triple butted 312. The bars and MTB saddle have to go right from the start.,,,,BD

nishiki custom sport
this is my 1981 Nishiki Custom Sport. picked it up at a thrift shop for $25.00 done lots of cleaning no painting. ride it almost every day to and from work. still working on making it look better. had two flats and possibly original tires when i got it. have a new rear wheel in the car for this one, with two new "thorn proof" inner tubes and slime. it's a keeper.

@WNG .
Yah thanks . It's a cool bike but there are a few things out of order on here - cranks need to go ( wrong ,just wrong ) but they work for now .and the Modolo hoods need ot be changed to shimano .
clean up the original chain and toss that back on (Izumi , Silver plated )
Its a 6 speed set up lazy cruising .
The 1 thing i dont like about this Nishiki is the front end is "Sqiushy" - its not stiff at all -
Cheers

Bianchi from Japan
I just bought it two days ago for $120 CAD, apparently this is from Japan according to the add.

Here's the Gran Turismo, finally complete with fatties and fenders. It is quite a nice commuter bike now. I just rebuilt the hubs and lubed the chain last night. It felt fast before, I imagine it will fly now. I had no idea the hubs were that dry, as was the chain. Second is a Volkscycle Mark 100 I got a couple of weeks ago. I have a Gazelle rear rack in chrome, and the stainless fenders that came from the same Gazelle, may migrate over from the chrome 11.8. This whole bike looks like jewelry already, that should send it over the edge, hehe.,,,,BD
Yeah, it's a Volkscycle in name, but 100% Japanese made from the looks of it.

I have the same frame in dark red metallic. Maybe one year newer since the letters are filled in with silver, instead of outlines. Same seat stay caps and lugs, gorgeous! If it was 3 cm larger, I'd be riding it, sigh. Instead I am selling it tomorrow.,,,,BD

I have a 70s Nishiki in a deep maroon with great chrome detailing and the old metal headbage... in a 60 cm (I ride a 55-56cm)! ARGH! I'll have to sell it sometime soon.
