What type are they, and how do I remove the green from them?

Sorry about the out of focus pictures, but that's all my camera has to offer.

Look like 70s Valentino. Steel wool?

Green? is that spray paint overspray or do you have brass levers with some verdigris showing through? And if they're brass they must be hyper rare...I'm betting on paint, so fine steel wool with WD40, then you can polish them if you wish.

Yeah, it looked like patina at first, but it's definitely overspray.

don't use steel wool, use 0000 brass wool, less likely to scratch the chrome.]

On something small like that, I would put all the metal parts in a jar of laquer thinner for a day or so.
All the green will come off with an old toothbrush & a paper towel, NO scratching at all! :D
That's what to do if you have an old frozen spray gun and you want to make it work again.
