Spring modding, Peugeot style

I hardly ever ride my PH-10 for some reason. Not sure why as it's my favorite. I decided to spruce it up a bit. I had a set of Secas in 27 inch that I bought last year, and E3 saddle that swapped off the Technium. I also tuned up the cable adjustments, etc. Rides really nice, and got a few ounces lighter in the process. Looks more up to date, although that could be a bad thing for a vintage bike:rolleyes:,,,,BD

It went from this.....

Looking very good, although I would say that you could benifit from some all-black anodized aero brake levers, eh? Would compliment that mean-looking all-black paintjob.

Hmmmm, that sounds pretty cool. I have a set of black hooded Aero levers from the Technium? Silver levers though. The black hoods would be sweet with black wrap though. I think the tape is the adhesive type, so it may need to be re-wrapped.,,,,BD

I also have the original gum hoods, but they're dried up pretty bad.

I love that e3 saddle! I just got one and having now put 200 miles on it, I think it's the most comfortable I've owned.

Very nice updated look!

I agree with the suggestion to add aero levers, I'll bet some red bar tape would really make it pop.....

Try jumping on the bike the very next day after a long ride:p. I'm getting used to it now, but those first few times, ouch. You're right though. I had no idea a saddle with so little padding could be comfortable. The horn of the seat nearly doesn't exist huh? All I feel is my sit bones resting on the seat.,,,,BD

Red? hmmm... I'm not a big fan of red tape, but I could do a photoshop. I though about yellow briefly too.

Yellow was on my mind, as well. I think any color tape that picks up something in the chevrons on the top tube would look good. I would chose red first because yellow shows dirt pretty quickly.

Photoshop it with red tape and minus the cables - I think it'll look sharp!

Yellow and red tape photoshops. I kind of like either oddly enough. The yellow picks up the yellow on the decal. The red completes the rainbow effect. Decisions,,,,decisions.....,,,,BD

Red - definitely red.

I'd stick with the all-black look at this point, considering the black sidewall tires - the bike is calling for it as it stands now. Skinwalls would suggest the yellow bar tape - red would only be good if you could find a yellow-red fade bar tape.

Take care,

-Kurt

Go halfway...orange!

Actually, I too like the no-nonsense all black look myself. Just need some carbon components and black anondized rims to complete the look!

Looks like the fork is bent a bit from a front ender?

And if you can't get the carbon stuff, find some place that does carbonesque-look parts dipping for automobile interior parts, and bring your load of aluminum parts there to be posurized ;)

It may be bent, but if it is it's not that bad. The ride is pretty good. It's doesn't pull or twitch or feel uneasy at all.,,,,BD

If I could find a black Peugeot fork in this size I would replace it.
