Can someone help with panto shifter origin?
I wonder if any of the vintage experts can help with this?
I have some pantographed campy shift levers, i was wondering if anyone could help identify what they were originally on.
they have 2 vertical stripes, like many of the panto levers do, they taper toward the bottom they are painted red and blue.
on the top is what looks like the olympic pictogram for cycling as used in the munich and montreal olympics (i looked it up) that is filled in black.
the left and right side levers have the pictogram facing in opposite directions.
Best Regards

Still can't positively ID it, but given the red/blue and Olympic icon I'd guess it's from a Dutch, French, UK or US bike that had an Olympic Games entry, maybe post-'72 Games. Since they so much resemble the Merckx levers, I'd bet on the Dutch or French. Only bike I had with panto'd parts filled with red and blue was a Marcel Calborn: a Colnago built for a French racer transplanted to Calif. Bet that helps!

There is a great looking Italian Tomas frame on ebay at the moment that has a logo pantographed into the lugs that looks suspiciously like the logo on your levers.

It's gotta be Italian, but that icon...close, but "no cigar"...I do think the mark on the shift levers is an Olympics symbol, it just has the right look. The Tomas (related to Tomasso, Tomasini?) is a bit different.

Ten Speed Drive Imports used that logo... It's also on the brake bridge of my TSD era Woodrups. My guess is that those were not bike brand specific, but an early '80s generic panto lever for those doing a Campagnolo Nuovo/Super build.
