Those bikes are way too small for you, im 5'8" myself and I wouldnt think about riding either of them.
Im sure you could easily find something in your size if you look around a bit, especially if you're just interested in a fixie.. no need to ruin one or two bikes someone else could use, just my five cents! |
Shimano also had some HF hubs, but I think they were earlier than what the rest of the bike looks like. Though, at least some of them were 126mm spacing for 6/7sp freewheels as I have a pair like that (STILL waiting on spokes for the build...)

Both look beautiful! Both look a little small for you. Buy both anyway ( I have very little self control!)

Those are definitely small frames. If you have a significant other who is shorter you might have something going on. Otherwise if you get them cheap look to flip or scavage parts.
#1's paint scheme screams 1980s so loud I can just about hear it down here in Fla. #2 looks to be the better bike (as many others have pointed out). Really small (and really large) frames have a small pool of potential buyers but those buyers have less stock to look at too so they might flip pretty nicely for you. |
I like the BIG 80's paint. I bet the original owner had matching pants.

I'd say MOOT. Those bikes are tiny. You can't ride them at your height. You need a 56cm +/-. Oh, but the second one looks like a better bike.
