todays find, Panasonic found in trash

Here are a few pics of a Panasonic I found in the trash on my way from the bike shop, there were a few 20" BMX bikes in there too, but all junk, most of what you see on the frame is dirt! LOL! I know its not the best frame, but its OK =)

There's one of those chained up at my local Metro stop. It's been there forever and the chain and freewheel are starting to rust. How the heck do I get that?!

Ask around at the local Metro stop, if anyone knows who it belongs to it would be someone there, then take it from there, if its been there for that long Im sure its abandoned, in Philly the city takes them after theyve been abandoned, so if its the same there I dont see why you cant take it? (if its abandoned that is) if the city takes them and its not considered stealing then why cant you/we? just be sure to try to find the orig owner, but again, if its been there for that long Im sure its been abandoned, a lot of the "yuppy" types here in Philly do it, they use bikes until they work their way up to buying a car, then leave the bikes right where they chained it up and forget about it

Universal Padlock Key aka boltcutters.

Here's what you do: roll up in a barebones pick-up truck. Get out wearing work clothes, a hard hat, a safety vest and carrying a metal clipboard. Walk over to the bike, refer to the clipboard several times, snap the lock with the boltcutters, throw the bike in the truck, and drive on. Piece of cake

Not only that, but I thought I was in charge of both photo demands and grammar retribution.

And furthermore, 'Nazi' is a proper noun and should be capitalized.

Maybe so, but I don't have enough respect for the SOBs to grant them proper noun status. Did you ever get the second set of decal scans?

That was my immediate thought when I saw the pics. Looks like the steerer is bent at a minimum. Would be interesting to see a close up of the lower head lug to see if there is any crinkles in the paint there.

I like your style, but, lacking the requisite pickup truck, hard had and vest, I think I'll go the legit route.
It's a Panasonic 1000, by the way. Same nice color.
