Custom Raleigh Frame

I ran across this frame:
https://cgazannex.info/images/bicycle...02-Raleigh.jpg
The owner says it was made as a team frame for a European race, but never built. He's had it since 198? He was under the impression that it was built to race on the cobbles.

He was going to sell it, and asked what I thought. I don't know Raleigh at all, and thought I'd see if anyone here had an idea of its worth. It is 531 tubing and forks, sloping crown, 100cm wheelbase.

Ideas?

Certainly looks like an SB bike. Better get the serial number to be sure. Looks like pretty standard racing geometry, A nice bike to be sure. The frame is worth at least $250 in my opinion.

Edit: Last generation super record brake calipers and cranks, and what looks like dura-ace drive train including hubs... I would pay at least $500 for it complete, it is a beautiful bike and looks to be in great shape.

Thanks, I'll get the serial #. I didn't even think of that, duh.
You and I are on the same page, price wise.

At this point I told him to part it. He wants a LOT more than that. The bike has all Dura Ace and Campagnolo SR, depending on who made the best at the time. Cinelli bars and stem. Dura Ace 7400 pedals.

It is very clean. He said it had yellow decals on the tubes that he removed. I didn't have the heart to tell him that may have cut the value of the frame

I found the sloping crown on the fork and lack of frt derailleur braze-on a bit odd.

Am I wrong on that?
