bianchi Brava, about a 88-value?

I am bidding on a bianchi strada, about a 1988. Considering I have to pay fro shipping, how high should I go? I'm afraid that I am already bidding more than it's worth (about 150). also, as best as I can gather, it's ishiwata tubing with a hi-ten fork, is this correct? does anybody have some input on this bike/value? The seller swears that it basically unused (by him).

thanks, averybody.

I think you could get something w/ chro-mo throughout in that range or maybe a little higher. I would bow-out.

If just the fork isn't chromo and the bike is otherwise in exc. condition thats not too bad, but I don't think I would go much higher.

Agreed. You can find Columbus tubing for $200-250.

I have a late 80's Brava and it is double butted Ishiwata tubing with Ishiwata cro-mo fork. It is a nice light good handling bike. I would be more concerned about the wheels and components when deciding the price to pay on this bike. People get to wrapped up in what the tubing decal says on it, not how the total package handles or performs.
I picked up this one for 45 bucks (well used)

thanks for the replies, just to add some confusion, I realized that I wrote Brava, but it's a Strada. I have a tiny europa that I like the ride on, so I was aiming for a similar ride. The lister has listed it as a 1991, now. does anybody have a definite idea on the components ( I'm guessing shimano Exage or something) or tubing? I've asked the seller, but he's not at home.

on a similar note, he's said that he's away on business; he's been pretty good about responding to questions, but it's setting off alarm bells. Who lists something on ebay, and then goes out of town?
