Is this frame a steal for 40$?

My jaw dropped looking at this...The only real deep blemish seems to be scratches on the headtube...

I love those lugs!

I don't know if it's a steal but for $40 I'd buy it just cuz it's cool.

Is that an ominous bulge on the head tube?

Actually it's my frame. It's some tape that's peeling away below the decal. I was going to take it off but was afraid the paint would come off with it.

Yes, it's a perfect fixie/SS candidate at a perfectly good price, I considered it myself but can't bear another bike or project until I make room...so buy it.

Is it French threaded?

vpiuva 04-09-07 11:49 AM

I would so steel ;) that frame

silversmith 04-09-07 11:54 AM

What a deal!

Hey, Mike -- If sorefeet doesn't end up buying it, I'll take it. It's got more class than the other framesets I've got waiting around to get built. PM me, eh?

I have a FREE 57cm C-T Peugeot UO-9 frame available in the San Diego area. It does have Swiss BB threading and an ugly repaint job and a bit of surface rust, but it would make someone a good project bike.

Forty bucks for any reasonably solid steel frame in the Bay Area is a good deal.

Too bad he's looking for a 56 cm.

Just joking, I'll bet a 57 just might be close enough if it is the right bike. :D
