Koala, I bet those lugs + the chrome make that bike go like, 15% faster. Work of art.

Since R.K. posted a picture of a top lug on a Paramount, I'll show the ones from below on my '66 Paramount.

(not exactly the same level of performance lugs as the Gazelle, but the paint job makes up for it in my mind anyways. I'm biased, I painted it. :))

Beautiful sparkly blue! :D

Painting tip; it's all in the prep!
Final sanding before the color goes on should be done with 320 grit at least.
or to touch-up the primer, 800 grit.
Sandpaper ought to be wet-or-dry, not garnet paper. (used in wood shop projects)
Sorry Jon, just pickin' nits here with ya! ;)

How many nits can a nitwit pick, if a nitwit could pick nits? :roflmao:

Other than some minor sandscratch showing, the finish IS very good, and the color quite elegant!

Kudos, Cuda2k! :D

Yeah, you can see a bit of sandpaper marking in the paint in that shot. Only with the flash does it show up. I think what you're seeing there is actually the result of the rougher paper that I used to knock down the original paint and didn't get filled in enough with primer before the color went on. I was using some high grit paper for the wet sanding of the primer, but didn't do the greatest or most careful job of it around the lugs. :o  :p

The color is great. It's DupliColor Metal Specks "Ocean Blue", and about 3 cans of it if I remember right.

more pictures of this bike (including some that really show how rough my sanding job was!) here: http://photos.thecuda.com/thecuda/ph...udamk1\&page=3

Serotta pictures should be up tonight. I'm headed for Southwest Frameworks right after work to pick it up.

edit: no serotta tonight... :( David put a little ding in the paint this morning and is having to fix it.

The lugwork on all my bikes is pretty basic. The best I can come up with is one panto
