I tried doing a search here and came up empty so I figure we havent talked about this one yet. The frame is cro moly with forged drop out front and rear with the screw stop on the rear. The components are suntour gpx everything. wheels are 700 mavic.

Part of the problem is the model name is Allegre, not Allegra. The GPX group indicates it is 1989 or 1990. Originally sold for $500 US in 1990. From the specs, it appears to be your basic club racer for the era. GPX was decent equipment and about 3rd in the SunTour hierarchy. Unfortunately, it got lost in the consumer hype over Shimano's SIS. These days it can be difficult finding Accushift parts if derailleurs, shifters or cogs need replacing.
