Mavic Montlery wheels
Anybody know anything about 'em? Google turned up only three or four links, none of any help.
Still learning, so any info would be appreciated. |

Still learning, so any info would be appreciated. Goose, I have a French bike (Stella) with the Mavic Montlery wheels (25"). I too am trying to learn if the wheels or bike is worth anything. It has gone unused for about 23 years. The derailer is Campagnolo Nuovo Record. I would appreciate any leads. Thanks Jeff |
Mavic Monthlery rims, named for a is a suburb of Paris,
and site of a race track where the French Grand Prix was held in the 1920s and '30s. There were 2 models Route and Legere models. Route(s) were 21.5mm in width and weighed approximately 420gm. The Legere modewl was 20mm wide and weighed 310mm. There were also I believe variations of the above (anodized gold?) available. Its a precursor of the GP4 tubular rim, very strong. Very apropos for PX10, or other good french racing bike. Marty |
Lotek is spot-on. Those rims are classics.
