Ideor??????

Just bought a frame/fork off ebay cause I thought it was a Galmozzi. The seller listed it as an Ideor Assos, but the lugs are detailed the same way that 60's Galmozzis were--slotted with a hole in the center line of the lug, if that makes any sense. I don't know anything about Ideor. Can someone help? Its a beautiful frame, although much too big for me-60cm-. Thanks

Ideor Asso was a small, respected marque. I have only seen one specimen "live," and it was a beaut.

Here's a nice-looking 1962 IA:

you will have to go bid on the Galmozzi at the Cirque de Cyclisme auction, it is 60cm.

Thank you to all who replied. I was not able to get to Cirque d'Cyclisme but I will enjoy the photos when they post. The Ideor really is beautiful, and even though I probably couldn't ride it when built up, I will most likely build it anyway. Now if I could just find some proper decals and a headtube badge????

Ideor head badges do come up on ebay, I was able to replace my brother's lost one, but it was not cheap, I lost a few times and prevailed finally at $55. plus shipping from Italy.

So it goes.

Owned a couple of Ideor Assos in the early 1960s purchased from Bob Hansing Montrose Cycle Shop. I found the bikes were very nice riding bikes. I raced on them for several years. I am having to go deep into the memory banks for details. A friend to whom I sold the bike back in the 1970's still owns the bike and rides it on occasion. He also has a Torelli built by Mondonico. Says he still likes the ride of the Ideor.
