Another thread about ebay sellers.

Any dealings with ebay seller "baron_von_drais"?
he sells lots of stuff BIN.

I bough a TA crank puller and send payment 20 days ago. Seller has been none communicative and has given me no confirmation that the item was even shipped. I'm starting to wonder.

Well, if he sells lots of stuff, maybe he's busy?

If he falls through, I'll send you one of mine.
(at least I think I have more than 1!) :p

If he does get his and you do in fact have two I'd be interested, I've been putting off servicing a bottom bracket for lack of one.

I bought mine before I realized velo orange sells them for the same price, though they are not authentic TA brand like the ebay one supposedly is...

OrangeOkie 06-26-07 08:19 AM

I have done alot of business with the "baron." Only once was he slow in getting me an item (a 26" set of tires) . . . turns out he was listing the item for an acquaintence and the guy didn't want to sell for the final bid price. Baron had to convince him that he had to sell it at that price. He finally sent me two sets of tires for my inconvenience. I can vouch for his integrity.

Baron was good to me
Bought some tubular rims from him....

As I recall he lives in Montreal and drives to Lake Champlain in New York to
mail things. Not like going to the post office down the street. I've bought
one or two things from him and other then the ship time had no problems.

Rabid Koala 06-26-07 09:13 AM

I have bought from him and everything went just fine. I think I bought a set of Campy calipers.

bikerosity57 06-26-07 11:03 AM

He's not in Oregon, or Washington by any chance?

cyclotoine 06-26-07 11:31 AM

He ships from Champlain, NY and lives in Montreal apparently.. Well thanks for those who chimed in. I feel better and confident in waiting longer. It just makes me uneasy when a seller doesn't communicate with you. Thanks all.

I picked up a set of Nisi tubular rims a couple weeks ago from him. They were exactly as he mentioned in his ad, packaged very well.
