Vintage cycling shoes

How's the sizing? For regular shoes, I wear an 11. For modern cycling shoes I should wear a 45 but actually wear a 47. I have a wide foot and 47s seem to fit the best. Will this be true of the vintage shoes? Do they run narrow? Or should I stick to 45s? I'm gonna have to get a vintage pair from ebay and I want to go in with my best guess.

I wear a regular 11 and 46 or 47 in vintage shoes fits best. They are narrow but at least if they have leather uppers they will stretch a little.

.

I have tiny feet for someone in the US, and wear a women's size 6 1/2.

That's a perfect size 37, as I have just recently discovered, thanks to Bob Hufford and leftthread.

i'm not sure you can pin that on cyling shoes, or them being vintage or not. I wear different size numbers depending on vendor and, sometimes, model.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I have ONLY seen cycling shoes run small, has anyone seen them run big?

I 'd rather get a pair of 47s that are a bit too big than get a pair of 45s that are too small, they will cut off circulation and my feet go numb.

most italian cut shoes are going to run small (thats been my experience forever)
and narrow. I received a pair of unknown (brand) vintage shoes size 41 (U.S. 8) and they feel
as if I'm wearing a size 5! way short and it feels like I'm going to burst the leather uppers
right off the bottom.
Here's a good sizing chart (modern stuff but it still works) for jerseys, shoes etc.
