going for my first conversion !?!

HI all .
i dont know if the title was a good choice , but i have scored a dumpster bike .
its an old crescent ( swedish brand ) i live in sweden and i have striped off almost all the components, brakes , racks, lights and alot of other misc stuff attached to the bike this evening .

1:the frame is a bit rusty ( surface rust ) but nothing i cant fix with the proper cleaners and a bit of elbow grease .( frame size is 53cm ) headset seems to be in very good condition .

2.The fork and the stem do not seem to be original .the fork ill toss . but ill keep the stem.

3:The stem has a marking on the side "SR" any ideas ?

4 The wheels are chrome and seem to be in very good shape . the only markings on the wheels i can find are made in belguim . and a few numbers i cant really read YET . need to be cleaned up .

5: the tires seem to be original they only have the size and then in small print say made in Czechoslovakia. so they are old ..LOL

6:The Cranks are 1 piece . stock ( original ) pedal i wont even talk about .

ill have this completly disassembled by monday and start on the conversion process ..
any tips are greatly appreciated on this conversion .
its not going to be pretty but it will make a nice beer+ grocery getter when i get it ridable .
CHeers T

ps anyone know about old crescent catalogs or brochures online so i can hahve a look at this bike in its original form . THANKS

SR is a Japanese brand, they made stems, bars, cranks, and more(?). The rims are most likely Weinmann.

@vpiuva
thanks for that info
@el twe
yes they are small ..

like i said in my first post this was a dumpster score and its not in the best condition , but i am just a bit courious about the components on this bike . i know its not worth really anything $5 USD probably .
But it will make a great grocery / stuff getter in the neighborhood .
i have several parts for this bike laying around doing nothing . so i thought i would try and pop this together .
to be honest i really just want to keep any bike that is salvagable ALIVE and on the road , if its for me or if i decide to give it to someone else ..

you guys know , its bike madness

thanks for all the info people

Cheers T
