Paramount Pictures

Well I still have the controls and cables to go and I have to find a seat! I guess I am really not sure of the year and if I paid to much for it but I thught it was a good deal.

Can anyone help me with a year of this? It is a Series 7 and has a decal down the tube that has OS.

Did you contact Waterford Cycles? Your Paramount may have come out of that facility. If not, with the serial number, I suspect Richard Schwinn can tell you what is the story of your bike.

Are those forks a bit bent towards the top, in the first picture? Maybe just the angle.

ga,
Just to double check them, I went out and I would say it is just the angle of the picture.

Also the decal on the top tube has Series 7 PDG if that helps for the date. OS down the tube that has oversized wrote under it.

If that color is what you would call Violet Blue, then it is a '92. The serial number would probably confirm that if it begins with a '2' and a letter.

Can we start calling these bikes "Paramount" with the quotes. It just seems wrong, otherwise.

'92 Series 7 Japanese Paramount

Assuming it has brifters on it, it's exactly the same as my bike. A '92 Series 7 Japanese Paramount. I love my bike. I just got it last fall, and it's the first bike I have ever owned with brifters. It's light by my standards, but not by modern standards.. 22lbs.

It looks like the wheels, stem, crank and deralliuer aren't original though.

Thanks for all the replies! I guess with all I have going on here, I probably will just part it out.
