Nishiki Competition Questions
Picked up what looks like a mid-late 70's Competition frame today. Serial number KG 43026, also has a stylized "W" on the BB shell.
No braze-ons, "tulip" or "crown" cut-outs in the lugs like a Miyata. Chromed Suntour drop-outs.
Can somebody tell me where this bike stood in the model line and if it was built for 700c wheels?
Also, the fork was missing. So I'm looking to buy or trade for a suitable replacement. Steerer needs to be at least 19cm. Please PM me if you got something that might work.

All I know is "K" is for "Kawamura" and "W" is for "West Coast Cycle Supply." Nice find!

Both. Kawamura was the framebuilder and West Coast Cycle Supply was the distributor.
