Crazy thrift store coincidence .... PICS

So today I cleaned out the garage of scrap metal that had been building since winter. I took a bunch of junk wheels, bars, and a cracked Peugeot UO-8 frame. The frame is in the below picture.

On my way home from the metal recycler I stopped by the thrift store, and I picked up the exact same bike, another white Peugeot UO-8, but a larger frame. As if that isnít crazy enough, it has a Brooks Professional saddle which is exaclly what I have been looking for but too cheap to buy. And as an additional bonus, this frame isn't cracked!! Lets just say I smiled all the way home!!!

My wife would not have been happy if that had happened to me. She is alwasy shocked how I seem to be able to build up stuff even when trying to throw things away.

Hahaha!!! Itís all the same parts as you got Aaron! But I noticed no suicide levers on this one. The pedals are a bit different too. I think I liked yours better. And wow, this thing is crazy big, I cant stand over it flat footed.

Do you know what year your bike is? I just bought a yellow one that looks to be about the same model/year as this one. Mine needs a little work and wasnt as good of a deal as yours! Man, I wish I had that cracked one, as this frame is too big for me. I think its a 56cm. But its my first vintage bike so I am still happy about it.

No...the first one was too small, and the 2nd is too big. Here are pics of the finished machine. Cleaned up pretty nice. The Brooks is now on my Steyr Clubman.
