Oh I wish . Thank you though. I was 21, she was 18. My wife defies age very well. I am so lucky. We have three beautiful children, 24 , 22 and 13 years old.

As a matter of fact I have a couple. I just unpacked them from my recent move and finally have the cockpits dialled on both bikes. Put a Nitto 135 on the Maruishi and a Nitto 177 on the Miyata to go along with the Technomic stems.
Thanks. Having really long legs and a short torso for my height makes bike fit a challenge.

Which bars do you find the most comfortable and enjoyable on your rides?… The Nitto Noddle or the Randonneur bars? I bought one of each to see what I preferred but I'm still not sure,… (42cm Noodles and 45cm Rando bars is what I went with)
THanks

This is a pretty cool setup. I have mine built up similarly, though not vintage but with some vintage components.

I personally like the feel of the B132s, the bends, the ramps and the splay at the brake levers. I like the width of the Noodles- the Noodles are wider because they don't splay out as much and the width is measured at the ends.

At this point I'm not exactly sure I have a preference. I didn't spend nearly enough time on the bikes this past season once the bars were installed. My favorite seemed to be the one I was riding at the time.

After a few "incidents" I've decided I'm not a winter rider. Right now, my Trek 720 is the first thing I see when I go down to the basement... Spring just can't come soon enough.
BTW- I get all excited when I see this thread get bumped up!

1985 Trek 620, original plus VO fenders:

Perfect except it's a touch small. Previous owner added new decals, I added the fenders.
1984 Trek 520, also original except borrowed 700c wheels:

No problems with winter riding in sunny California - lamentably even more so with this drought.

Are you running the original 27s? 27 x 1 1/4?
What size fenders are you using?

Beautiful geometry & equipment. Must be a Europe/France model; never saw anything quite like that before. Other than cantis, that bike has everything; having seen it for the first time, I think I lust for it more even than a Miyata 1000 or Fuji Touring. I have a French fetish, you see...

This was my winter project -- blog post

I just finished making the handlebar rack and bag. Here's a blog post on that.
Edit: This 1972 Schwinn P15-9 was sold as a tour bike I believe. It's posted elsewhere on this site, in a Paramount-specific thread.

Wow, nice work on both the bike and the bag. I just read both posts. I always struggle a bit with losing patience because I just want to get out and ride so I'm always appreciative of folks like you who clearly have a good capacity for attention to detail.
