Bought this 1985 Miyata Six Ten in November of '14 for $150. Have been slowly working on it since. It was in fabulous shape. Still had the original tires with very little wear. Biggest changes I've made were the Suntour barcons instead of dt shifters, the Suntour Mk II Cyclone RD and FD Brooks Saddle and bartape. Oh, and the HED wheels. I have a bike fairy who got them for me for about 80% off. I was also not a fan of the half step gearing so picked up a 38t Sugino middle ring

Yep, 27" wheels originally, and 126mm rear hub (vs 130 now). The cantis on the bike had enough room in the slot that they slid down the 4mm necessary. And they actually grab the new rims more tightly. And the 130mm spaced hub just slides right in with no really force necessary.

This is my 1983 Cannondale ST500, first model bike Cannondale ever made. It was handed down to me by my dad who bought it new. I don't believe it saw too much use as it was always a little big for him, but he did ride it in a RAGBRAI probably that same year. It's almost too big for me, wish the flutes on the seatpost were a bit more exposed, spent a lot of time polishing it for so little to be seen. I replaced the original brake levers with Cane Creeks and added SKS Commuter II fenders. I have an old Jim Blackburn bare aluminum rack, though its non adjustable and tilts forward, still works, but not the prettiest. My dad also claims to have a matching Blackburn front rack somewhere, he just has to find it. At some point the rear derailleur was replaced with a Shimano STX, I eventually plan to swap that with a nicer and more correct Suntour Cyclone or something vintage and long cage.

I've shown it in another thread, but hey, it's a vintage touring bike. 1979 Gazelle Champion Mondial 'semi-race'. aka the G-frame. It now badly needs a test ride near the Med.

@papik: I really love the bike, it's a great color scheme and nicely appointed. I have one of those little Soubitez generators and it's a nice little unit, nice and quiet without a lot of drag compared to the old Union and Soubitez 89 I also run.

Just took my 1980 Schwinn Voyageur out for a 30mi full moon ride last night.
The only original parts are the frame, fork, brake levers and calipers, and stem.
Switched to 700 wheels, triple sakae ovaltech crank, SunTour ratcheting barcons, and SunTour long cage and triple derailleurs which are accushift. The derailleurs are 9ish years off being period correct, but they shift great in friction and I wanted to keep it as all SunTour.
Bottle cages have since been added.

531ST is nice stuff. Bit heavier and less lively than 531 Competition, but definitely a nice ride.

Yes, same bike. It's very nice, just a bit dirty. I haven't really touched it yet, just cleaned up a small area. Everything is original as far as I can tell.
