How can I get a high wheel/victorian style bike?

Hi all!

I think those old highwheel bikes are so cool and I would love to have one to ride around the neighborhood or the local paved trail on . It would be fun and a GREAT conversation starter. What can I say....I'm a people person! It would be cool to buy one but even better if I could build my own!! Does anyone have any expertise or recommendastions in this area? Buying or building! Thanks!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Just remember that those things are the equivalent of a fixed gear, and don't go flying down any hills. You'll understand what I'm talking about the first time you try .

My boss has a few... One's made by a replica company, one's an original that's in his museum, and one's a kid's version he made from a unicycle. He rides the replica in parades, etc... in fact, it's the shop logo!
